Prof. Hamid Reza Karimi

Biography: Hamid Reza Karimi is currently Professor of Applied Mechanics with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. His original research and development achievements span a broad spectrum within the topic of control systems, mechatronics, intelligent systems, and fault diagnosis with applications such as vehicles, robotics and manufacturing systems.
Prof. Karimi is a Member of Academia Europa, Distinguished Fellow of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV), Fellow of The International Society for Condition Monitoring (ISCM), Member of Agder Academy of Science and Letters and also a member of the IFAC Technical Committee on Mechatronic Systems, the IFAC Technical Committee on Robust Control, and the IFAC Technical Committee on Automotive Control. He is serving as Chief Editor, Subject Editor, Technical Editor or Associate Editor for some International Journals and Book Series Editor for Springer, CRC Press and Elsevier.
Prof. Karimi has been awarded as the 2016-2021 Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering, the 2020 IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Guillemin-Cauer Best Paper Award, August-Wilhelm-Scheer Visiting Professorship Award, JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Research Award, and Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung research Award, for instance. He has also participated as General Chair, keynote/plenary speaker, distinguished speaker or program chair for several international conferences in the areas of Control Systems, Robotics and Mechatronics.

Biography: Prof. Na Li, Ph.D supervisor, is a core member of the Key Laboratory of Electronic Equipment Structure Design of the Ministry of Education, Xidian University. Her research focuses on the error theory of electronic equipment, multi-scale electromechanical coupling problems, and the design and optimization of new nanoelectronic equipment structures.
She has been published as the first author in Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Acta Astronautica, Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics, IET Microwaves Antennas and Propagation, International Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and the International Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Propagation", "International Journal of Antennas and Propagation", etc. He has published more than 20 SCI/EI retrieved papers in international famous journals, and applied for about 40 national invention patents, 14 of which were granted.
Assoc. Prof. Mohamed Arezki Mellal
M'Hamed Bougara University, Algeria
Biography: Dr. Mellal is a Ph.D. in Mechatronics. He is an Associate Professor (with Accreditation to Supervise Research) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Technology, M'Hamed Bougara University, Algeria and Former Visiting Scholar at the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE), Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA. Likewise, he was a Visiting Scholar at Osaka Electro-Communication University, Japan; Korea Aerospace University, South Korea; and University of Essex, UK. He is a member of the Algerian National Laboratory for Maintenance Education in conjunction with the European Union (Erasmus+). He has published in several journal and conference proceedings. He has authored/edited three books and authored four book chapters. Dr. Mellal was an Invited Keynote Lecturer at the plenary sessions of the Day of Science 2015, Boumerdes, Algeria and in the International Symposium on Technology and Sustainable Industry Development, ISTSID 2019, El-Oued, Algeria. He was a Session Chair for the 2nd and 3rd International Conference on System Reliability and Safety, ICSRS 2017 and 2018, Milan (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain), respectively. He has been selected as Best Reviewer for the International Conference on Vision, Image and Signal Processing, ICVISP 2017 and 2018, Osaka (Japan) and Las Vegas (USA), respectively. He has also been a committee member for over eighty international conferences. He serves as a regular reviewer for twenty-three SCI-indexed journals and an editorial board member of seven peer-reviewed international journals. His research interests include developing new nature-inspired optimization methods for solving engineering problems of system dependability, design, manufacturing, and energy efficiency.

He is now serving as an Area Editor of the Elsevier Physical Communication, Editors of the Elsevier Computer Communications, PeerJ Computer Science, PLOS ONE, and Frontiers in Signal Processing for Communications, and a Managing Guest Editor of Elsevier Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems, and IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC) and Signal Processing and Computing for Communications (SPCC) Members. He is a Senior Member of CIC, Member of IEEE, Member of CCF.
